Fascia Therapy & IASTM
To Restore Movement
Specialised instrument-assisted therapy that breaks down adhesions, restores tissue glide, and unlocks movement that traditional soft tissue work can’t reach.
What Is IASTM?
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (IASTM) — also known as fascia blading — is an advanced therapy that uses precision-engineered tools to address fascial restrictions, scar tissue, and chronic adhesions deep in the connective tissue.
Fascia is the dense connective web that wraps every muscle, nerve, and organ. When it becomes restricted from injury, surgery, or chronic posture, it limits movement and drives pain in places you wouldn’t expect. IASTM directly addresses these restrictions in a way hands alone cannot.
How IASTM Helps
IASTM accelerates the body’s natural healing response and restores tissue quality:
- Breaks down chronic adhesions and scar tissue
- Restores tissue glide and joint range of motion
- Triggers a controlled healing response in the tissue
- Reduces chronic pain that hasn’t responded to massage
- Faster recovery from old injuries and surgeries
- Often produces results in fewer sessions than manual therapy alone
Conditions We Treat
IASTM is particularly effective for chronic and recalcitrant soft tissue conditions.
Chronic Pain
Long-standing pain driven by fascial restriction and adhesions.
Scar Tissue
Post-surgical scarring, old injury sites, and restricted scar mobility.
Restricted Movement
Stiffness and limited range of motion that doesn’t respond to stretching.
Tendinopathy
Tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, Achilles, and other chronic tendon issues.
Plantar Fasciitis
Heel pain and foot stiffness from chronic plantar fascia restriction.
IT Band Syndrome
Lateral knee and hip pain from a tight, restricted IT band.
What to Expect
IASTM is precise and targeted — sessions are typically shorter and more focused than full-body massage.
Movement Assessment
We assess your range of motion and identify the specific tissue restrictions driving your symptoms.
Instrument Treatment
Stainless steel instruments are gently applied along the restricted tissue. You may feel a “scraping” sensation; pressure is always within your tolerance.
Movement Reset
We retest your range and prescribe specific exercises to reinforce the new tissue length and movement.
Unlock Restricted Movement
Book a fascia therapy session and feel the difference advanced soft tissue work can make.
