DVA Physiotherapy
Veterans receive fully covered physiotherapy at our Homebush and Pendle Hill clinics. We bill the Department of Veterans’ Affairs directly — no out-of-pocket cost.
Physiotherapy for Veterans, Fully Covered by DVA
Hopevana is a registered DVA provider. We accept all valid DVA cards and bill the department directly so you never pay on the day.
Cards We Accept
We treat veterans on White Cards (specific accepted conditions), Gold Cards (all conditions covered) and Orange Cards (pharmaceutical-only, with separate physio approval). Bring your card and referral to your first visit.
Direct Billing — No Paperwork for You
We bill DVA directly via the standard provider system. Your only requirement is a valid GP referral that names physiotherapy as the approved treatment. We handle every claim from there.

Common Questions From Veterans
Everything you need to know about DVA physio at Hopevana.
Do I pay anything on the day?
No. As a registered DVA provider, we bill the department directly for every visit. There is no gap fee and no out-of-pocket cost for eligible card holders.
How many sessions am I allowed?
Gold Card holders have unlimited physiotherapy when clinically necessary. White Card holders are covered for accepted conditions only. We will discuss your treatment plan with your GP if more sessions are needed.
How long is each session?
A standard physiotherapy session is around 30 minutes and includes hands-on treatment, exercise prescription and written home program updates.
Can you do home visits for veterans?
Yes. We provide DVA-funded home visits for veterans who cannot easily travel to the clinic. Speak to us about adding a home visit to your treatment plan.
What if my referral expires?
GP referrals for DVA physio are typically valid for a set number of visits or 12 months. We will let you know before your referral runs out so you can renew it with your GP.
