Conditions We Treat
Our physiotherapists are experienced across a wide range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and chronic conditions — with Medicare bulk billing available.

Back Pain & Spinal Conditions
Back pain is one of the most common reasons Australians visit a physiotherapist. Whether you’re dealing with a disc injury, sciatica, or postural strain, our evidence-based approach targets the root cause — not just the symptom.
- Lower back pain
- Sciatica
- Disc bulge / herniation
- Spondylosis
- Postural back pain
- Scoliosis management
- Sacroiliac joint pain
- Spinal stenosis

Neck Pain & Shoulder Injuries
Neck stiffness, shoulder impingement, and rotator cuff injuries respond extremely well to physiotherapy. We use manual therapy, fascia blading (IASTM), and targeted exercise to restore full range of motion.
- Neck pain & stiffness
- Whiplash (CTP)
- Rotator cuff tears
- Shoulder impingement
- Frozen shoulder
- Thoracic outlet syndrome
- Cervicogenic headaches
- Tech neck

Knee & Hip Conditions
From IT band syndrome in runners to post-surgical knee rehab, our team uses NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) to find the underlying movement dysfunction and fix it properly — so it stays fixed.
- Knee osteoarthritis
- IT band syndrome
- Patellofemoral pain
- ACL / MCL rehab
- Hip bursitis
- Hip impingement (FAI)
- Post-surgical rehab
- Glute weakness

Foot, Ankle & Lower Leg
Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, and ankle sprains are common but highly treatable. We use fascia therapy, load management, and progressive strengthening to get you back on your feet fast.
- Plantar fasciitis
- Achilles tendinopathy
- Ankle sprains
- Shin splints
- Calf strains
- Heel spurs
- Peroneal tendinopathy
- Morton’s neuroma

Sports Injuries & Rehabilitation
Whether you’re a weekend warrior or competing athlete, we get you back to sport as quickly and safely as possible. Our rehab programs are tailored to your sport’s specific demands and your body’s movement patterns.
- Muscle strains & tears
- Ligament sprains
- Stress fractures
- Tendinopathy
- Return-to-sport rehab
- Overuse injuries
- Hamstring injuries
- Shoulder dislocations

Chronic Pain & Neurological Conditions
Chronic pain requires a different approach — one that addresses the nervous system, movement habits, and tissue quality together. We combine NeuroKinetic Therapy, fascia blading, and pain education for lasting results.
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic back pain
- Central sensitisation
- Stroke rehabilitation
- Parkinson’s management
- MS rehabilitation
- NDIS neurological
- Psychosocial disability

Tennis Elbow
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is a chronic tendinopathy of the outer elbow tendon, common in office workers, tradies, and racquet-sport players. Hopevana combines hands-on therapy with shockwave therapy for chronic cases — most patients improve in 4–8 weeks.
- Lateral epicondylitis
- Repetitive strain injuries
- Tendon-loading rehab
- Shockwave therapy

Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) restricts shoulder movement through capsular contracture. We use phase-specific manual therapy and capsular mobilisation to dramatically shorten the recovery timeline from years to months.
- Adhesive capsulitis
- Phase-specific treatment
- Capsular mobilisation
- Diabetic shoulder presentations

Knee Pain
From runner’s knee to post-ACL rehab to osteoarthritis, knee pain has many causes — and they don’t all respond to the same treatment. We identify the exact source and build a targeted plan, often avoiding surgery.
- Patellofemoral pain
- Meniscus injuries
- ACL reconstruction rehab
- Knee osteoarthritis

Neck Pain & Whiplash
Neck pain affects 30–50% of adults each year. We treat the full range — postural strain, whiplash from motor vehicle accidents, cervicogenic headaches, and chronic mechanical neck pain. CTP and WorkCover direct billed.
- Whiplash from MVAs
- Postural neck pain
- Cervicogenic headaches
- Disc and facet pain

Achilles Tendinopathy
Achilles tendinopathy is the most common cause of pain at the back of the heel. We combine progressive eccentric loading with shockwave therapy for chronic cases — most runners return to full training within 8–12 weeks.
- Mid-portion tendinopathy
- Insertional tendinopathy
- Shockwave therapy
- Heavy slow resistance loading

Headaches
Many recurring headaches actually originate from the neck. We treat cervicogenic and tension-type headaches with hands-on physiotherapy targeting the upper cervical spine — most patients see major improvement within 2–4 sessions.
- Cervicogenic headaches
- Tension-type headaches
- Upper cervical mobilisation
- Migraine trigger reduction
Physio with No Out-of-Pocket Cost
If you have a GP referral (Chronic Disease Management / EPC plan), you may be eligible for up to 5 Medicare-subsidised physiotherapy sessions per calendar year. At Hopevana, we bulk bill — meaning $0 out of pocket for eligible patients.
