01Do I need extras cover or hospital cover?
You’ll need “Extras” cover that includes physiotherapy. Most major fund extras packages include it — check your specific level of cover with your fund.
02How much will my rebate be?
Rebate amounts vary depending on your fund, your level of cover, and any annual limits remaining. Through HICAPS, your fund’s rebate is calculated and applied instantly at your appointment — so you’ll know your exact gap on the day.
03Can I claim physiotherapy and remedial massage on the same day?
Yes, if your extras cover includes both services. Each service is billed separately and your fund applies rebates per service line.
04What if I don’t have private health cover?
Hopevana also offers bulk-billed physiotherapy under Medicare’s Chronic Disease Management (CDM/EPC) program with a referral from your GP. We also accept NDIS, WorkCover, and CTP referrals.
05Do you accept Medicare and private health together?
Medicare’s CDM program is processed separately from private health funds, so you can’t “double dip.” If you’re using Medicare bulk-billing under CDM, you don’t need to use your private health for that appointment.
